Finding water leaks

To locate water leakages in your water system, refer to the leakage finder guide below. This will help you identify potential leaks and take the necessary steps to fix them.

Check your toilet for leaks

To check for toilet leaks, add food coloring to the tank overnight. If the bowl has color without flushing in the morning, there's a leak.

Check your appliances for leaks

To find water leaks from appliances, disconnect all appliances from the outlet until you locate the source. The water might be in the form of a slow drip.

Water drips and wet walls

Visible dampness in your kitchen, bathroom, or laundry area could indicate a water leak, leading to home mess and potential mold growth if left unfixed.

Use the six checks below to reveal a potential water leak in your home. We recommend you schedule a water leak repair with a trusted local plumber immediately to prevent water damage.
